3 Days Solo Wild Camping in the Lake District | Sprinkling Tarn

Join me on a thrilling solo backpacking adventure through the snow and hail storms of the Lake District! Over the course of three days, I faced some of the toughest challenges, including heavy snow, hail, sleet, and freezing rain, but emerged victorious with an experience to remember and cherish. Starting from Seathwaite with the intention of finishing in Grasmere, I was forced to abort the mission and seek refuge in the stunning Great Langdale valley. Along the way, I captured the epic scenery and landscapes with my DJI Drone Mini, showcasing the beauty of the Lake District in all its glory. Despite being weather-bound for a night, I conserved my energy in the tent as it started to snow, enjoying the delightful sound of the falling flakes on the tent fly. The next day, I battled through heavy snow, getting lost a couple of times, before being battered by stronger winds, hail, sleet, and freezing rain. I eventually made it to Angle Tarn, but the weather eventually got too much on a peak of 700m+. I had to re-strategize and retreat to the safety of the nearest valley, Great Langdale. I pitched the tent just before the rain came again, bringing an epic hail storm that left me completely drenched. Despite the challenging conditions, I found comfort and safety in my tent shelter, enjoying the ambience of the raging wind, hail, and rain outside. This adventure pushed me to my limits and beyond, but left me with an experience that I will never forget.
