In this case, I'm making galettes with fruit. I love making these as gifts for friends because not only are they extremely easy to make but they also look so pretty and rustic. All one requires is pie dough, fruit, sugar, and a thickener. Then you can add extra flavor with optional ingredients such as ground spices, extracts, or jam. I definitely recommend making these as they come together quickly and aren't as taxing to make as pies.
