Since its launch in 2021, the Biz-M-Power program has helped over 90 businesses raise over $1 million in contributions to receive over $850,000 in matching funds from MGCC's Biz-M-Power program. Restaurants, breweries, book stores, bakeries, cafes, retailers, farms, food product businesses, salons, fitness studios and so many more have taken this opportunity to more deeply connect with existing customers, build a base of new potential customers and unlock matching funds through this innovative matching grant program for Massachusetts-based small businesses. The Biz-M-Power crowdfunding matching grant program offers small businesses in Massachusetts up to $20,000 in financial assistance with their acquisition, expansion, improvement or lease of a facility, purchase or lease of equipment, or with meeting other capital needs for the business. Eligible applicants will be empowered to advance their businesses with an innovative approach to obtaining capital. Through crowdfunding campaigns, these businesses connect with their local residents and stakeholders to advance projects that support economic success and transformation for their businesses and in their communities. This webinar series will allow small business owners interested in learning more about this innovative program to hear about the experiences of other small business owners who have participated in this program and give attendees the opportunity to ask questions. Participants will hear from program leaders Theresa Ng, Community Project of Manager Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation, and Jonathan Berk, Vice President of Patronicity, as well as Lindsay Allen, executive director of East Somerville Main Streets, and Ani Vong, Business Coach TA of Community Teamwork, Inc., Entrepreneurship Center.
