925 Silver Coin Cutting Necklace | Hand of Hamsa

Coin Art : Hand made 925 silver hand of hamsa pendant necklace made by coin cutting a sterling silver English shilling. This was made in mid April 2020 during the UK covid 19 peak and sticking to the UK guidance and not going out unless essential I used supplies I already had at home. As we are both working during this time and haven’t seen each other for several weeks; I wanted something special and heartfelt. After looking into the meaning of the hamsa hand I found out it is a symbol of courage and hope and helps to warn off the evil eye. Being in the middle of a national pandemic there seemed like never a better time to own a necklace like this. I further incorporated the lion design of the shilling into the necklace and it fits perfectly, it’s as if this coin was made to be this necklace! Additionally the lion is also an animal that has long symbolised strength and courage and this added to the feel of the gift. I am super pleased with how it turned out, it was greately received. During a time that seemed so dark, this silver necklace and the meaning behind it shines bright. Peace and love to all of the families affected. Thanks for watching.
