100 Days of Farmers Protests | Movements in India | Barkha Dutt

6th of March 2021 marks 100 days of the Farmers Protests. However, as protests have changed in size & shape, a lot has happened in these 100 days. While many unions still stand strong, many also withdrew support after the Republic Day Tractor Rally where the 'nishan sahib' flag was hoisted at the Red Fort. Through all this, farmers have remained united in demanding a repeal of the farm laws. However, there has also been a disagreements amidst the leaders with respect to how the demands must be approached. Many have said that they would like to talk to the govt., many media reports have also said that the unions won't talk till harassment at the borders stops. Despite repeated talks with the govt., and the govt. offering to withdraw the laws for 1.5 years, no conclusion has come to the fore. It has been 100 days and the farmers are still protesting.
