In this flat roof replacement Prep video we look at taking out old or unused HVAC units, curbs, and stacks before the flat roof is replaced so your roofer doesn't flash around unused mechanicals. On this job there were huge air handlers that set on a steel super structure that stretched across most of the roof. First we cut apart the large units and then used demo saws and sawalls to cut up the steel I beams. We set up engine hoist to hold the steel as we cut it up and then lowered it onto carts that we used to move it over to the crane.
