The youngest child in a family of Esperanto native speakers invites you to join him in working through the traditional 10 lesson Free Esperanto Course (FEC) by e-mail. ** New lessons every Thursday ** This episode covers Lesson Three of FEC. You may want to bring the following page up on another device to follow along, or pause the video and refer to this lesson periodically. http://pacujo.net/esperanto/course/ma... Please also watch the first episode of "Mazi en Gondolando" - a classic animated instructional film that has been dubbed into very good Esperanto. At this point, focus mostly on seeing how much you understand. There are a few words that you may not have heard (such as the jobs of the various characters) but a lot of it will already be familiar. I found these links to the Mazi videos. The first episode is split over the following two videos. Part of episode 2 is at the end of the second link. • Video • Video The Mazi episode covers the use of "estas" with adjectives and nouns, which is what we're doing in our lesson 3. It also covers some greetings that I will add to our growing supplemental vocabulary list below. Bonan matenon (tagon, vesperon, nokton) Good morning (etc.) Kie vi loĝas? = Where do you live? Kiel vi fartas? = How are you? Saluton = Hello Kio estas via nomo? = What is your name? Mia nomo estas Tomaso = My name is Tomaso. The purpose for learning these phrases now is to help us out when we get to lesson 5 in FEC. My experience has been that learners often find lesson 5 to be too much all at once, so we're going to learn some practical phrases now and that will help us later in the course. The course material is here at the following link. If you'd like to send us your exercises from this lesson, we will correct them for you and answer any questions in the next video. If you haven't contacted us already, send a private message for information about where to send your exercises. http://pacujo.net/esperanto/course/ma... If you need more exercises while you're waiting to hear back from us, try Duolingo. https://en.duolingo.com/course/eo/en/... Did you watch the Lolly video? • Lolly, Lolly, Lolly, Get Your Adverbs... "How where or when, condition or reason. These questions are answered when you use an adverb." If you enjoyed this Esperanto video lesson, please give it a thumbs up, tell a friend, or leave a comment. This is always encouraging to us, and it lets YouTube know that more people should watch it. Questions welcome. --- A very warm and special thanks to the people supporting this channel through Patreon: Timoteo, Liĉjo, Tim Morley, and Rafa. After this film was uploaded and was prepared, I received a pledge from a fifth patron - Ŝtono - and I was unable to thank him in the video. My appreciation, is no less sincere. If you find these videos helpful or entertaining, please consider becoming a patron as well. See link for more info. / esperantovarietyshow
