Proximal Humerus Fracture: Cyclist | Part 1

A proximal humeral fracture is diagnosed if there is a bone break in the area surrounding the humeral head, commonly known as the ball of the shoulder’s ball-and-socket joint. The humeral head is located at the top of the humerus (upper arm bone). The fracture can also include bone below the spherical portion. A fracture of this nature usually takes 6 to 12 weeks to heal. However, recovery time depends on the severity of the break, your age, surgery or not, and how well you follow your doctor's instruction.
