This week is a look at Abiqua Falls one of the most pictured waterfalls in the state of Oregon as well as the Close proximity Butte creek falls. I got lucky with Butte creek falls and was able to capture it in the snow which was such a rare treat. Alltrails Directions are wrong due to a newer Gate install in 2018 Alternate directions Below but I would recommend GPS because it is tricky to find it. From Scotts Mills: Near post office turn left on maple grove road then turn South on Sawtell road until reach the end of the pavement which will turn briefly on family Camp road then to butte Creek mainline road but I was not able to locate any signs after turn of on gravel that is why I recommend a GPS there are at least 3 intersects if you keep heading to the right on the intersects you should find it. You will come to Butte creek campground first which is small this is not the trail go about another quarter mile then you will be at the trail head very well marked with pit toilet.
