It is located in the north of Guangzhou City, bordering Conghua District to the east, Baiyun District to the south, and Nanhai District to the west. It has the "North Gate" of Guangzhou City and is the gateway from Guangzhou City to the north of Guangdong Province. , Hunan and even the most important channel in the northern part of the mainland. The territory was under the jurisdiction of Panyu in the Han Dynasty; it was under the jurisdiction of Nanhai County in the Sui Dynasty; and it was under the jurisdiction of Panyu and Nanhai County after the Song Dynasty. In the 25th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1686), Huaxian County was founded and belonged to Guangzhou Prefecture. In the 3rd year of the Republic of China (1914), it belonged to the Guangdong and Hainan Road. In the 9th year of the Republic of China, it was directly under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), it was returned to the First Administrative Supervision District of the province. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, it was placed under the administration of Xijiang. In the 32nd year of the Republic of China (1943), it was returned to the First Administrative Supervision District, and the following year it was transferred to the Supervision District directly under the provincial government. In 1952 and 1956, it was changed to the Northern Guangdong Administrative Region and Foshan Prefecture. In November 1958, Huaxian County was renamed Guangbei County, and in March of the following year, it was renamed Huaxian County. On April 20, 1960, it was classified as a county under Guangzhou City. On June 18, 1993, the State Council of the People's Republic of China approved the removal of counties and establishment of cities (county-level), and named it Huadu City. It was directly under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province and entrusted to Guangzhou City to manage it. The original administrative divisions of Hua County were used as the administrative divisions of Huadu City. On August 1, all Huadu government agencies changed their names and adopted new seals. Huadu District is located in the north-central part of Guangdong Province, at the northern edge of the Pearl River Delta. The terrain in the district is flat. The Guanghua Plain located in the district is part of the Pearl River Delta. The northwest and northeast of the district are dominated by hilly areas. An important source of drinking water in the city is the stream. The river flows through the southern edge of the district, with Huadu District adjacent to Conghua District on the east side and Sanshui District of Foshan City on the west side.
