At 10 years of age, the punters ignored the claims of Hardy Eustace in favour of favourite Brave Inca and Tony McCoy. But not for the only time in their distinguished careers, these two outstanding two-mile hurdlers served up a memorable battle. Conor O'Dwyer had kept enough in the tank coming to the final flight to put up a fight aboard the winner, who bravely battled all the way to the line to hold off his rival.
