In this video, we continue the 100 Chess Miniatures series with game #2. This is a remarkable miniature played by Magnus Carlsen at around 9 years old, back in 2000 in Oslo, where he had the black pieces and played the Sicilian Defense. Early in the game, Magnus makes a shocking blunder on move 7, sacrificing a knight for just a pawn. Objectively, it shouldn’t work — but his opponent keeps the king stuck in the center, and Magnus does what he’s always been great at: attack relentlessly. He throws piece after piece at the exposed king and finishes the game with a direct checkmate in the middle of the board. A perfect example of why king safety matters more than material — and how initiative can outweigh an early mistake. 📚 Explore the full course playlist: 👉 • Chess course from beginner to master level... 🔥 My Opening Courses Black – Counterblow: https://tinyurl.com/hexsh9ke White – First Strike: https://tinyurl.com/8nwjjamt Chess Strategy Simplified: https://tinyurl.com/2s3rmaj6 ✔️ Subscribe Here: / nmrobertramirez
