Investigation revealed that the boys wanted to go on a trip to Manali, but they didn’t have the money. So, they decided to commit the robbery. A CCTV video of the incident has also surfaced, showing the minors standing outside the shop. The accused carried out the robbery at a general store and looted a total of ₹30,000. The incident took place in the Sultanpuri area of Delhi, where the daylight robbery spread panic in the locality. After the incident, the police arrested four of the minor boys, while two others have been taken into custody for questioning. In the CCTV footage, it can be seen that six to seven boys suddenly arrive at the grocery store. As soon as they enter, the first boy pulls out a sharp weapon from his pocket and starts threatening the shopkeeper. Another boy, who follows him, also pulls out a large knife and begins intimidating the people inside the shop. Though the camera does not show what happens behind the counter, the way these boys stormed in with weapons suggests they threatened the shopkeeper severely, which is likely why he handed over the ₹30,000 cash. After taking the money, the boys fled the scene. While they were running away, a woman passing by with her child saw the armed boys and, frightened, turned back. The incident occurred around 9 PM on the night of April 3. The Sultanpuri area was as lively as any usual day, when suddenly this group of boys arrived and carried out the robbery before fleeing. However, their actions were captured on the CCTV camera installed there. Based on the shopkeeper’s complaint, the police began their investigation, identified the suspects from the footage, and arrested four minors. Two others have been detained for questioning. During interrogation, the accused confessed that they had planned a trip to Manali and needed money. That’s when they conspired to loot the shop. The police recovered two knives and a portion of the looted ₹30,000 from the boys.
