This is a video detailing the results of developing an ultra vintage Kodak Kodacolor 116 colour film that expired in June 1951! The photos from this film can be seen on my Flickr page https://www.flickr.com/photos/5185386... . I shot this film generally at bulb exposure exposing the film for 8 seconds at f-16 on my 1920s Kodak Hawkeye 2A Model B 116 camera, the lengthy exposure is to compensate for aged sensitivy loss of the film seeing it's over 60 years old! After my failures of my other early 50s Kodacolor films and then a successful develop by bleach bypass I decided to develop this film in my Tetenal C-41 colour kit but use Ilford Rapid Fixer instead of the Blix so I can at least get contrasty pictures and it worked nicely! Here's the details of this develop: Colour develop 10 min at 20 deg C Wash 3 min Fix 5 min at room temp (Ilford Rapid Fixer) Wash 5 min Stabilize 1.5 min at room temp This film came out fantastic in terms of contrasty pictures and this film being large 116 film and with postcard size exposures 6.5cm X 11cm the pictures look beautifully detailed and high in resolution!!! :D Once again bypassing the bleach the colour is very very very weak but there and some colour comes through on Photoshop manipulation but the artifacts from my rough scanning method make it impossible for me to really ramp up the saturation to make them more colourful. Anyhow overall I am really happy this large film made pictures and whilst not that colourful, they look awesome in B&W! :)
