NF Nooksack Lower Bends - Packrafting WA - 760cfs - Class IV-IV+

Quick after work lap on the lower Horseshoe Bend section of the North Fork Nooksack in my Kokopelli Recon. We parked at the trailhead for Horseshoe Bend and we walked up the trail to Bench Drop. My buddy Abel ran Bench but the lines were narrow for the packraft and getting pulled into the river right channel would've spelled trouble. After a few hundred feet PSAT showed itself just below the overhanging tree. The floods in November 2021 ravaged this section of river and remastered this entire stretch. The whitewater isn't any harder than it was before but all of the rapids have shifted a bit. After beatering my way out of PSAT I was feeling a bit off and forgot my line on SAT, I ended up pulling right a bit earlier than I had planned to and then missed an easy move and swam. Very quickly got back into my boat and battled my way down the rest of the rapid with no backband or thigh straps. The next couple rapids were short and sweet and the run was over before we knew it. This video was taken on 8/25/2022 and there were a few scattered pieces of wood but nothing that posed a significant hazard. The trip took us about 30 minutes and the hike/scout took about the same amount of time.
