After camping in the van overnight in Glencoe, I set off the next morning to climb the four summits on the iconic Buachaille Etive Mòr ridge. I’d climbed Stob Dearg in 1992 which at the time was the only Munro summit on the ridge. In 1997 Stob na Bròige was promoted to Munro status. As the day of my Munro compleation came closer I had a nagging doubt about whether I’d actually climbed Stob na Bròige. I remember walking along the ridge and descending into the Lairig Gartain and for many years believed I’d climbed both Munros. The solution was obvious. I had to climb Stob na Bròige.
