Dear viewers, We are super excited to present y'all our brand new travel series - Sri Lanka!!!!! In December 2023 I used by Christmas/New Year break opportunity to explore the southern and the central part of Sri Lanka for a week. A week in Sri Lanka is definitely not enough, as there is so much to see in this small Indian Ocean island. Hence, I decided to split my Sri Lanka visit in to two halves. In this first half I will be covering some of the amazing landscapes in the southern and central part this little country has got to offer and the plan is to cover the North and North-Eastern part of the country sometime in 2024. It has now become much easier than before for the Indian passport holders to visit Sri Lanka with the Sri Lankan government waiving the visa requirements for the Indians to visit their country. You only need an ETA which can be easily applied online and obtained within 15 mins. In this first part of the series I will be covering Colombo, Dambulla, Kandy, Galle and Ella. In this episode I will be covering my flight travel from Chennai to Sri Lanka's capital Colombo by flying SpiceJet. There was some drama created SpiceJet by delaying the flight by 9 hours, but all was well in the end and I didn't have to make any changes to my trip itinerary due to this delay. Majorly thanks to my amazing driver Methsri. You will find him accompanying me for the next seven days. There is a reason why Sri Lanka is called the Jewel of the Indian Ocean.
