Inventor comes with a set of "Design Accelerators". The Bolted Connection tool is one of them, it uses the content centre to place bolts and the necessary holes for the bolts in your assembly models. The benefit of using the bolted connection tool, is that the bolts and their associated holes are being placed by standard, meaning that the bolts used are to spec, and that the holes created match the bolts. The holes "drilled" in your components are managed by the bolted connection tool, making the placement of bolts (and holes) easy to manage.
