From S4C 01/04/2026 Service Notes tomorrow 01/04/2026 How God Uses Praise To Inhabit and Draw Near (Psalm 22:3): God is described as being "enthroned" or "inhabiting" the praises of His people, meaning He dwells in the atmosphere created by worship, drawing close to those who praise Him. To Release Supernatural Power & Breakthrough: Praise acts as a catalyst for God's power. Paul and Silas's prison praise led to an earthquake, breaking chains (Acts 16:25-26), and the Israelites' praise before Jericho's walls brought victory (Joshua 6). To Transform Our Circumstances & Hearts: Praise shifts your focus from the problem(s) to God, bringing joy (Isaiah 61:3) and replacing despair, as seen when worship turned the Philippian jailer and his family to Christ. As a Weapon Against the Enemy: Praise is a powerful spiritual weapon that reminds Satan of what he lost and counteracts spiritual oppression. To Prepare Us for His Will: Praising God, even before seeing results (like in Jericho), demonstrates faith and prepares us to receive His promises and fully experience His love. To Glorify Him & Fulfill Our Purpose In Him: Praising God acknowledges His goodness and character (love, justice), fulfilling our purpose to glorify Him, which brings us deep satisfaction and joy. As a Witness to Others: The True & Sincere Praise of Believers stands out to non-believers as a hallmark of true Christianity, drawing attention to God's work in their lives. Some Biblical Examples Acts 16:25-26: Paul and Silas praising in prison, leading to an earthquake and freedom. Joshua 6: The Israelites marching around Jericho, praising, and the walls falling. 2 Chronicles 5:13: The priests' praise filling the temple, causing God's glory to descend.
