3RD NOTE: It has recently come to my attention that Gradius1, a Lionhead dev, has specifically confirmed that Rose's letter is referring to Scythe. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be any current plans to have Scythe reappear any time soon. 2ND NOTE: Even if you select the Love card and revive Rose, she does not appear in-game and you cannot find her, so please stop asking about her. NOTE: So many people keep throwing out speculation about who the hooded man that Rose met is. It can't be Jack of Blades, assuming the good ending of The Lost Chapters is canonical, because he was turned deader than dead. Rose goes on to say the man feels kingly as well, which is the big key to this. Yes, the Hero of Oakvale was a descendant of the Archons so technically he's a possibility. However, a book titled "Living Forever: The Immortalists" in Fable II talks about those with long lifespans and brings up in particular a character from The Lost Chapters: Scythe. It suggests that he is in fact one of the Archons (but not specifically the last one) who achieved immortality through, possibly, necromancy, which would explain his rotting appearance in The Lost Chapters. He also was really downplayed in The Lost Chapters as an enigma, especially so when the so-called Oracle knows just about nothing of him. I have my own doubts that the Hero of Oakvale survived for hundreds of years as he was not exactly the most subtle person and he seemed to be relatively weaker in terms of Will power than characters like Theresa. To me, it seems that Scythe is increasingly building up to a big reappearance soon, perhaps in the upcoming Fable III. Sorry for the long note but so many people keep asking about it. The ending of Fable 2, including what some may call the hardest boss ever. [/sarcasm] Also shows what happens when you pick the ending for "The Needs of the Few" and its resulting letter.
