Who should I tell my trouble, clouds? Those we thought were friends hit us And there is the wound of foreign land, deeper than all Tell me is there any news from homeland? Or are these rains the tears of my beloved? Tell me is there any news from homeland? Or are these rains the tears of my beloved? I am burning inside, beloved, my wound is very deep Give me some news from my delicate beloved, oh my I am burning inside, beloved, my wound is very deep Give me some news from my delicate beloved, oh my Clouds, say hello to my beloved Say that our day of reunion is near If fate has put us away from my beloved What should I do alone in a foreign land? Can one live alone from my beloved? Tell me What should I do alone in a foreign land? Can you live far from your lover? Tell me My insides are burning, my lover, my wound is very deep Give me some news from my coy lover, oh my My insides are burning, my lover, my wound is very deep Give me some news from my coy lover, oh my About the Artist: Of Armenian descent on his maternal side and Circassian and Turkish descent on his paternal side, Özdemir Erdogan was born in Istanbul on 17 June 1940. His mother was a classical pianist, and his uncle a piano and violin player. The first training was taken from these channels from a young age. The unique conditions between the years 1940 and 1950 are one of the important factors preventing Özdemir Erdogan from receiving formal arts education. Another issue was that his father prescribed an absolute basic education with the conditions of those dates. In this educational process, which lasted until the age of 15–16, Özdemir Erdoğan's artistic subjects were more likely to be found which were supported by his teachers at the schools. His most famous song Gurbet alludes to the history and situation of guest workers in the 1960s who left their homeland. He was elected as a Turkish state artist in 1998.
