Turning a Fence Post Into a Beautiful Wooden Vase

In this video I transform a simple 6x6 fence post into a decorative wooden vase. The project begins with a rough pressure-treated pine post. I turn the wood on the lathe to shape the vase, and finish it with stain, oil and wax to bring out the character of the wood. To make the vase functional, a glass insert is placed inside so real plants or flowers can be used safely. This project shows the full process from rough wood to finished piece. Tools used: • Wood lathe • Turning tools . Sandpaper and stain . Oil wax mixed .
