Day 2 of our North Bengal journey began with a bittersweet goodbye to Pinnacle Homestay as we packed our bags and set off towards Darjeeling for the next two days of exploration with our little bachha party. The road itself was an experience — winding through mist-covered hills and dense pine forests. Our first stop was the breathtaking Peshok Tea Garden, where endless stretches of emerald-green tea estates rolled down the valley like a living carpet. From there, we headed to Lamahatta Eco Park, a peaceful retreat surrounded by prayer flags, tall dhupi trees, and mountain silence that felt almost spiritual. The calmness of Gumbadara View Point gave us a panoramic glimpse of the Teesta valley, where clouds drifted lazily below us. But the real adventure came with our trek to the top of Tinchule Lake — a short yet rewarding climb that tested our stamina but gifted us unmatched serenity at the summit. With the kids excited, the air crisp, and the mountains standing tall around us, Day 2 wasn’t just a transfer to Darjeeling — it was a journey filled with memories, laughter, and moments that made us pause and truly feel the Himalayas.
