Before we entered this incarnation, our conscious memory was erased. Our limited perspective habituates us to interpret challenging experiences as “bad,” even though they are actually “concealed good,” as is known by our Omniscient Creator. And since we are literal pieces of Hashem, we too are capable of piercing through the illusion of concealment and sensing the opportunity within perceived challenges. In fact, it was you who chose your life’s challenges. You see, before entering this lifetime, your soul perceived exactly which challenges were necessary for your eventual rectification. Thus, Hashem Allowed you to design your life’s circumstances in order to maximize your opportunity to become perfect. But since Hashem Desired we earn spiritual perfection, our conscious memory of this backstory was erased in order to enable free-will choices. Fortunately for us, just as Eleanor hides a clue to help her future self remember her purpose before her memory is erased, we too arrived in this escape-room-world with clues meant to help us discover ours. What are these clues?♪ Hashem Gave us a present, do you know what it was? He gave us the Torah which we all truly love. The Torah is our clue to identifying our entire life's purpose. And our Torah teaches that learning Torah and performing Mitzvot are actually only a “means” to an ultimate purpose. Which purpose is that? ♪ Hashem Gave us a present. The present! Hashem Gave us the gift of the present moment, where Dveikut is experienced. Feeling a palpable awareness of the Creator’s Presence ,even while engaged in worldly matters, is life’s only true fulfillment of living. Any other form of perceived good is deceptive vanity and emptiness. “VeAtem HaDveikim BaHashem Elokeichem Chayim Kulchem Hayom" (Devarim 4:4) [You who CLEAVE to Hashem TODAY (in this moment) are ALIVE].
