One of the wildest incidents under the CJHL umbrella this season erupted in the Ontario Junior Hockey League on October 14, 2025, when the Toronto Patriots and Mississauga Chargers completely lost control in the final minute of regulation. The third period had already been boiling over, but at 19:04 and again at 19:08, the game descended into full chaos. Multiple fights broke out in rapid succession, players flooded the altercation, and officials were forced into damage-control mode as the situation escalated into one of the most severe discipline cases seen in junior hockey this year. Penalties were handed out across the board: Massimo Neri (Mississauga) received a fighting major, game misconduct, and third-player-in penalty. Gabriel Schmidt (Toronto) was assessed a fighting major and third-player-in. Nicholas Wlodarczyk (Mississauga) was hit with instigator, aggressor, abuse of official, and a fighting major. Peter Koukouves (Toronto) was later suspended five games for a slashing major and instigator penalty during the third fight in the final ten minutes. In total, four players were suspended, combining for more than 12 games lost, marking this incident as the largest disciplinary outcome in the OJHL this season. A textbook example of how a high-intensity junior game can spiral in seconds — and why late-game discipline continues to be a major focus for league officials.
