Get this concrete snare drum here: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detai... "Concrete? What? You can't make drums out of concrete!” Actually, you can indeed make drums out of concrete and John Good has designed a very unique sounding drum that drummer would be happy to have in their collection. Mr. Good says it himself that DW's goal is to outfit drummers with as many sonic options as possible, and they came up with something special in this Collector's Series Concrete Snare. I got to put the drum through its paces in this video and I had a lot of fun playing on it. The drum comes with a 6.5" x 14" 5.5mm concrete shell and has a beautiful raw soapstone finish. Add to that the Satin Chrome hardware and you get a drum that looks fantastic and is built to last. The drum sound is dry and focused; in fact, this drum would be fantastic for studio recording. Explosive volume and projection make it great for live performance, as well. The sharp 45-degree bearing edge enhances attack and fundamental tone. As with a lot of DW snare drums it comes with the MAG throw off system and DW's True Hoops. This is one very cool snare drum. As drummers we tend to collect snare drums and cymbals more then full drum kits, and this DW Collector's Series Concrete Snare is definitely a drum that would make any collection better. -- Nick D’Virgilio
