Exploring Rome Italy✨ The Mouth of Truth and 2* Hotel Review😱

Welcome, and in today’s Rome travel vlog, I’ll explore a bit more of Rome Italy, will walk around Theatre of Marcellus, Santa Maria in Cosmedin, the home of the mouth of truth and will give a review about my hotel, Hotel Lazzari. ▶️ Please Subscribe:    / @robbietravels   I started my day by walking around The Theatre of Marcellus, built in 13 BC and the largest open-air theater in Ancient Rome. If the front of it looks strangely familiar, you are right. The theater's architecture and design became standard throughout the Roman Empire and influenced many important buildings, like the Colosseum, built decades later in 72 AD. Even though the theater was built during the reign of Augustus, Julius Caesar started the project. In its prime, the theater was a popular place to see plays, concerts, or poetry readings. Over time, as gladiator games became more popular, people wanted more of a show and started going to places like Circus Maximus and the Colosseum. Because of this, people stopped using the Theatre of Marcellus, and by the 4th century AD, it was no longer needed. The next place I went was The Mouth of Truth, which is the most famous part of Santa Maria in Cosmedin, a basilica in Rome. The Mouth of Truth called the Bocca della Verità in Italian, is said to bite off the hand of anyone who puts their hand inside the mouth and is caught in a lie. We can say that this is a myth, but we can also say that the Mouth of Truth is one of Rome's most famous places to visit. As I'm leaving Rome, I'd like to leave a review of the Hotel Lazzari, where I've been staying for the last couple of days. The Hotel Lazzari Rome is a small family-run hotel in the center of the Italian capital, just five minutes from the central train station, Termini. It is well connected by bus, train, subway, and tram, making it easy to get into the city center and to most of the major landmarks. However, the location is one of the very few positive things I can say about this 2-star hotel. Watch my review to find out why. So, watch till the end and let me know your thoughts in the comments.
