1973 - 1975 Travels With John - The Silent Movies #2 "Credit Valley Railway"

John Cowan is a huge railfan and former railway employee. The Second Silent Movie involves some steam excursions on the Ontario Rail Association's named "Credit Valley Railway" between 1973 and 1975. Again, a special "Thank You" to Peter Layland for digitising these 8mm movies. The Credit Valley Railway footage is with ten-wheeler D10h 1057, a former Canadian Pacific locomotive, and was first taken on a run between Toronto and Orangeville, Ontario on June 23rd, 1973. The sunny footage was taken in October, 1974 on a run to Havelock, Ontario, which only made it as far as Cavan, Ontario, due to mechanical problems with the locomotive, hence the 1057 was turned in a wye at Dranoel when she tied on to some hopper cars to move back to a switch. The later the cloudy footage was taken in October, 1975 when the train did make it to Havelock. My friend James, aka Skeena Pacific, remastered these videos. He called the series "Travels With John".
