The Challenges in Supporting Multiple Safety Levels in the Same System - Kai Chirca, MIPS An important part of designing an automotive system is to choose the target safety level of the system. The safety level is based on the risk that this system can have on the life of the driver, passengers and the road users. The consolidation of the automotive functions provides a new challenge, can we consolidate several ASIL to a single solution. In this talk we will discuss how we can address this challenge and present a practical approach to address. In particular, we will show how we can consolidate the automotive infotainment system (ASIL-A) and ADAS (ASIL-D) to a single solution, while keeping the operation of the safe and non-safe function to work together.
