Active Garden Episode 7 - Organic Fertiliser / Liquid Compost

Essex Cultural Diversity Project is working with a range of diverse communities in Colchester and Tendring to support an outdoor Active Garden project that encourages people to become more active through gardening. The project will support around 20-25 people with their mental health and wellbeing, especially the vulnerable elderly and over 50 who have been self-isolating or shielding at home due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Active Garden project will encourage people from diverse communities through daily activities that promote many benefits, including physical activity, responsibility and independence, self-confidence, teamwork and communication, healthy lifestyles, and environmental awareness. The Active Garden project will be delivered through online platforms including video meetings, discussions and sharing of ideas and good practice around gardening.
