Shoe shiner Ernesto is 37 years old and has been doing shoe shines on the street in Guanajuato City for 12 years. Ernesto comes from a family of shoe shiners. His grandfather and father were both shoe shiners. He became a shoe shine boy when he was a little kid, since the skill is in his blood. Guanajuato City, Mexico 🇲🇽 My black leather high heels women's shoes were so scratched. Ernesto took his time to carefully make my female high heels shoes look so new. He even used FIRE! Do you know why fire is used in shoe shining? This street shoe shine is located a few steps from the Hidalgo Market, in the center of Guanajuato City. The City is so unique due to the underground street tunnels, colourful houses and alleyways. From the viewpoint Monumento al Pipila, I was able to observe the beauty of this amazing Mexican City. Ernesto sets up his shoe shine workspace on the sidewalk. He sits on a stool and uses a fold-up wooden chair for his customers to sit on. He did a fantastic job with my black leather high heels!
