Nambila Mounib, General Secretary of the Unified Socialist Party (PSU), which has helped to organise this protest, says the world needs to act. "The message we want to send to the international community and to the Zionist entity is that it is high time to stop the embargo in all in its forms on our people in Palestine, so that these people can determine their rights and build an independent state on their territory. And also the return of the refugees so that they can live in dignity with the other people of this world." After initially rejecting an Israeli offer on Saturday for a 24-hour truce, Hamas said today that it's agreed to hold fire ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday marking the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. But as Israel's Cabinet met to discuss the offer and the ongoing war, rockets rained down on southern Israel and Israeli strikes could be heard in Gaza. Each side is blaming the other for scuttling the efforts. "All the people are with the Palestinian people. All the people are condemning the silence of the regimes and the crimes against against humanity," says Kadija Riyadiya, Deputy Chair of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH).
