B46+ Select Bus Service: Southbound from DeKalb Ave to Kings Plaza via Utica Avenue

My first ride on the new Utica SBS route, which commenced on July 3, 2016. The bus was 2014-15 New Flyer Xcelsior XD40 #7306, based out of Flatbush Depot. The line is one of the busiest in the city, serving the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, East Flatbush, Flatlands, and Marine Park. There is also a local service of the B46, which travels beyond DeKalb/Malcolm X to the Williamsburg Bridge Bus Terminal. As with all SBS routes, one must pay before boarding using their Metrocard or coins. In addition to the usual English and Spanish for the fare instructions, this line has Haitian-Creole. In the near future, many of the stops will receive bus bulbs and new neckdowns and traffic islands will be built as traffic-calming measures. Connections are available to the subway in three places: At the start of the video, Kosciuszko Street station on the J is within two blocks, while the A/C trains stop below the intersection of Utica and Fulton, and the 3/4 at Eastern Parkway.
