We each carry so many roles in our lives. Today we want to introduce you to Crisyl, she's a program coordinator, listener, advocate, colleague, friend. With our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines. Crisyl helps make life-changing surgery possible.💙 She works closely with medical social workers at Our Lady of Peace Hospital in Manila to share Watsi patient stories with our community. For Crisyl, this work goes far beyond logistics and administrative tasks. “I’ve personally met the patients,” she shared. “One of them was even a former colleague.” It’s in these moments—when stories move from a screen to real life—that her role takes on new depth. “I enjoy listening to our patients’ stories,” she said. “Especially when they share how surgery will change their lives for the better.” That joy in listening is what makes Crisyl’s presence feel grounding. She carries each story with care, knowing all that's at stake. When patients meet Crisyl and Watsi everything changes. Her work is technical, yes—but also deeply human. In the heartfelt coordination behind every surgery, there’s someone like Crisyl, making sure people are seen, heard, and helped.
