Carcavelos is the first wide, sandy beach on the Lisbon - Cascais coast. It's a beautiful beach and cool place to hang around because it has lots of restaurants, bars and other activities. From Lisbon you just take the "Marginal" to cascais, this is a freeway along the coast, you keep to this road for 15-20 minutes and after passing the NATO base and the fort you should see Carcavelos beach comming up on your left.
