Vitrectomy for Retinal Detachment | PVR | Case of Retinal Detachment with extensive PVR which requires a 360 degree retinectomy to preserve and attach a small island of central macular area . Vitrectomy is done to remove all vitreous attachments.. membrane dissection is done. Graded retinectomy is done to relieve the traction and reassess. Eventually required a 360 degree retinectomy. During the surgery PFCL goes subretinal while trying to peel a retinal membrane after which this PFCL is aspirated and then re injected over the retina again. At the end the central retina is well attached with 360 degree laser and silicon oil is injection. On follow up the retina is attached and patient has regained 6/36 vision at one month follow up.
