Oh How Lovely Is The Evening / Company Leaves - by Kinloch Nelson

Here's an adaptation of a 19th Century traditional melody paired as an introduction with an original song of mine written back in the 1970's called "Company Leaves." It was written at a time when someone in my family was leaving and might not be returning for a while, so it's meant to be a little wistful. And there's something of a play on words in the title since I often feel a bit wistful in the fall when the leaves are beginning to drop and the summer is fading. For the folks who are trying to figure this song out I've included a bit of commentary and fingering analysis after the song. There is a transcription available as well.
