Welcome to pradeepthi vlogs!! Dhanushkodi Part 2 - A journey through silence and. storms In this episode, we spent around 1.5 hours exploring the haunting beauty of Dhanushkodi. The place was bustling with visitors, and after soaking in the sights, we faced a small challenge - finding our car amidst the crowd and parked vehicles. Eventually, we located it and continued our journey. Dhanushkodi's geography is surreal, one one side, waves crash dramatically, while the other side remains calm, where people enjoy playing in the water. We skipped the dip this time - it was just too sunny to handle. On our way back, we stopped at the Dhanushkodi Lighthouse, which offered a breathtaking 360 view of the land surrounded entirely by water. It's hard to imagine that this peaceful place was once devastated by a massive cyclone. During that disaster, tidal waves rose over 20 feet, washing away a train carrying 113 passengers. The railway line from Rameshwaram to Dhanushkodi no longer exists, and post-cyclone, the area remains uninhabited - no houses, hotels or lodges. We then visited the Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Memorial, where his achievements and legacy are beautifully displayed. After spending some reflective moments there, we rushed toward Kanyakumari. Before wrapping up, we got a glimpse of the iconic Pamban Bridge - a marvel that connects Rameshwaram to the mainland. Though we couldn't explore it fully this time, we've decided o return soon and dedicate a special video to Rameshwaram, including the unforgettable train journey over the sea.
