Compilation video of railroad crossings in order north to south on the Sacramento Regional Transit Blue Line in Sacramento, California that are signalized with crossing signals. There are crossings not included in this in downtown as they are street running with traffic signals instead and crossbucks only. Blue Line trains are the headsigns with Watt/I-80 and Cosumnes River College and southbound is outbound and northbound is inbound. Half of the Blue Line runs on the original segment of SACRT from Watt/I-80 Station and the first crossing to the north being the Roseville Rd I-80 Ramp to 16th St with the last crossing on the original segment being at 17th St. The Blue Line shares with the Gold Line from Downtown Sacramento to the 16th Street Station with the last shared crossing being at 17th St of the two lines. The Blue Line runs along the UP Martinez Sub between Roseville Rd I-80 Ramp crossing and the Evergreen St crossing but in two seperate split right or ways and goes through no crossings in this section as all roadways were grade seperated over the SACRT Blue Line and UP Martinez Sub by the early 1980s before the light rail was built. The Blue Line between Evergreen St and the Arden/Del Paso Station the Oxford St crossing runs on a former Sacramento Northern Railway right of way that was removed long before the light rail was built in the late 1980s. Between 12th St and 19th St the light rail sits on the former row of tight of way of an Western Pacific Branch line and at 19th St on part of the Sacramento Valley Railroad former SP both that was removed before the light rail was build in 1987 and before 2001 at 19th St. It next runs along the UP Sacramento Sub former WP from S St down to Morrison Creek with the last crossing before Morrison Creek being Meadowview Rd and these crossings are in shared jointly owned right of way crossings owned by both SACRT & UP. From Morrison Creek to Cosumnes River College the Blue Line runs in its own right if way that wasnt any rail line before. The Blue Line ends at the boarder of Sacramento and Elk Grove down at CRC.
