In this video we'll be going right back to the beginning and showing everything offered in the first ever Ratchet & Clank game, being released on November 6th 2002 for the PlayStation 2. Released by Insomniac Games, it was their first game and IP since finishing up the Spyro trilogy on PS1. While not having aged as well as its direct sequels, the title was still a big leap forward for the developers, having innovated the platforming genre with action packed third shooting gameplay in open ended revisitable areas. Throughout the course of the game we fly through an entire galaxy of planets and space stations in order to defeat Chairman Drek, the leader of the Blarg species of the beyond polluted Orxon who follows out an evil scheme throughout the game to create a new homeworld, at the expense of every other location in the galaxy. The duo initially meet after Clank scrambles to Ratchet's home planet and set out to meet Captain Qwark, who they believe can help them in their quest.
