Jean Kirstein is one of Attack on Titan / Shingeki No Kyojin’s best characters, and I decided it was finally time to discuss why. How does one change? How does one go from a coward to a hero? How does one choose to face responsibility? I think Hajime Isayama has an answer for us. The psychology, philosophy, and symbolism behind it is pretty cool.
