Today’s feature: Michael Price Having won multiple awards for his work on prestigious projects, Michael Price is one of the UK’s most sought-after composers. About MICHAEL PRICE Renowned for his work in film and television, Michael Price is a widely recognized composer from the UK, who is in high demand for his musical talents. He won an EMMY for his work on Sherlock and has also received recognition for his work as a music editor, including four MPSE Golden Reel Award nominations and a win in 2001 for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Michael's portfolio as a music editor includes a range of esteemed projects such as X-Men, Band of Brothers, The Iron Giant, and Metallica – S&M. He has also arranged and composed additional music for several major films, including Edgar Wright’s Hot Fuzz, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and the James Bond films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. In addition to his work in film, Michael has released two critically acclaimed albums, Entanglement and Tender Symmetry. He was appointed as a Visiting Professor of Composition at the University of Surrey, where he previously studied as an undergraduate. He is a full member of several professional organizations, including BAFTA, BASCA, MU, PRS, and ASCAP.
