In the small German town Zittau on the border with Poland, was the site of early mining and garment industry, it was also a garrison town from before WW1 and by the time of WW2 when it was time for war production to be dispersed, huge production halls and large military barracks were ideal a labor camp was established, and Junkers and eventually General Kammler moved production in here, they produced jet engines and tested them here, but that is not all, something else happened here, both above and underground. There are persist rumors and witnesses to something being hidden underground either in the old mining tunnels or newly constructed underground facilities. And numerous groups of researchers argue over what and where to look. But that is not all, there were rumors and documentaries made that Dr. Mengele was here conducting experiments and autopsies in the basements, this is a popular rumor which I wanted to investigate also especially the source of those claims. We are going through all the old structures to take a look at what was possible and what might not be, I have spent over a year visiting the various archives, local, Gross-Rosen and the national archives to find the documents to back up or dispel some of the rumors. But certainly something happened here and we need to take a look at what it might have been. Kaviak Jones is joining me as is one of the Polish local historians who cared to share his theory.
