In my new series "Career Paths", I am interviewing interesting people out of the technology industry to highlight their backgrounds, how they came into the sector, what they are passionate about – well, their career paths. In today's first episode, I am talking to Danielle Richter, who was born in 1993 in the United States. She originally studied mathematics in Texas but decided after a while that actually software development is what she wants to pursue as a career. After working in Oregon for some time, she moved to Europe or the Netherlands in specific, where she works as a front-end engineer for Dutch online supermarket Picnic nowadays. The topic of "Women in Tech" in very close to Danielle's heart, she has a lot of expertise in it and is active in improving the situation herself as well.
