The Passacaglia（1893) by Halvorsen, a Norwegian composer, is a variation of Handel's original Passacaglia, Suite HWV. 432. （1720）　While the original by Handel is for Harpsichord, the version of Halvorsen is for violin and viola.  The term "passacaglia" means "dance music" and comes from the Spanish words pasar (to pass) and calle (street), which refer to music played by street musicians.  The repeated beautiful melodies of Passacaglia shakes my heart.
