Power comes from a 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 with 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque, but there’s a lot more to this build than that. The truck rides on 20-inch wheels and massive 46-inch Michelin rims. The MegaRexx gets new Icon springs and Fox Racing front and rear shocks. A slew of new body panels also set this F-250 apart. When it comes to upgrading Ford F-Series trucks, the aftermarket offers nearly endless possibilities. Whether owners are looking for more horsepower or off-road upgrades that can make even the toughest trails look like a Sunday drive, there are plenty of companies willing to make it happen. But if there’s one name that consistently stands out when it comes to truly transforming these trucks, it’s MegaRexx Trucks from North Dakota. The company has been building some of the wildest Fords on the market for years, and this is its latest project. Based on the F-250 Crew Cab Lariat, this vehicle looks like a miniature monster truck ready to conquer the Dakar Rally. The MegaRexx’s changes start with the body. The original bumpers have been removed and replaced with steel ones, significantly improving the truck’s approach and departure angles. In addition, 4.5-inch Icon springs are used up front and 5-inch leaf springs in the rear, complete with remote reservoir Fox Racing 2.5 front and rear shocks. New radius arms, adjustable track bars, and dual steering stabilizers allow for the fitment of new 20-inch three-piece wheels wrapped in massive 46-inch Michelin XZL tires. These make even the stock Bronco Raptor’s 37-inch tires look small. The tuner also designed a new grille and hood for the F-250, and also added special front and rear quarter panels. The latter, by the way, features flared fenders that are 9 inches wider on each side than stock. There’s also a new cage on the chassis, a 40-inch LED light bar, and, appropriately, a train horn. Unless you’re over six feet tall, you probably wouldn’t have a chance of climbing into this thing, so MegaRexx added retractable side steps. In terms of power, this thing uses Ford’s 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 that produces 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft (1,626 Nm) of torque. All in all, it looks like the attempt to turn a humble workhorse into a powerhouse off-road has been a success. Of course, we haven’t driven it yet, so we can’t be 100 percent sure, but judging by its specs, it should be nearly unstoppable away from the main roads. Source: Carscoops
