The journey began through the rugged landscapes of Canyonlands National Park before climbing into the La Sal Mountains for two days of alpine riding. From there, I descended into the town of La Sal and entered the remote Lockhart Basin, where temperatures soared to 115ºF / 46ºC and ground temperatures exceeded 170ºF / 75ºC. Thanks to carefully placed water caches arranged by David from Moab Bikepacking, I was able to safely cross this extreme desert environment. The expedition concluded with a return to Moab over Hurrah Pass, completing the loop. Behind the scenes video with route explanation, gpx-files and gear available on Patreon. This trip was made possible by Moab Bikepacking and Nuke Sunrise Bike Bags, who supported the journey with the bike, bags, water caches, route planning, and other logistics. This is an ambient film without dialog. ► TIMESTAMPS 0:00 - Intro 1:24 - Canyonlands National Park 9:04 - The La Sal Mountains 19:17 - Into the Desert (115ºF / 46ºC) #bikepacking #moab #utah #canyonlands #bike
