Personally, I have been more times in my life here in Weilheim, but the stay what I had in this video was really on a cloud free day. Most of the people which come to Weilheim like the marking place or the region where Weilheim located, the "Pfaffenwinkel". This for what Weilheim is popular, are the houses which are built in a south tirol or austrian architecture. The city center is small but its has enough houses witch are built in this nice alpin style. The way from the station to the marking place, which I walked in this video is more as easy. There it's happen more coffe shops, one old fountain and a selection of shops for fashion as well. The Church, "Maria Himmelfahrt" (a popular name for katholic churches in Bavaria) has a nice feeling of spirituality. Later I went to the historic city wall. It was nice to spent time there and at last I stopped at a house with a typical art of pictures on the front wall. This is typical for houses in south Bavaria. Its not a kind of graffiti, no its still coming from the time where Bavaria had monarchs, like the king Ludwig of second. (Kini) The onlyst downside of this stay, the temperature. It had over 28 degree at this tour. I was happy as I've been back in the train for my way back at home. History: The first seddler discoveries came from the brozze time. Many centuries, in the roman time, the romans graves their diet people in the area where the town is located today. The via "Rezia" in Latin language, which head to Augsburg made a stop in the same region. In 400 after christ as the romans left the region, the "Baovaren", a still unknown population seddled here in this region. The really first documenteries of the village "Weilheim" came from the year 1010. The village was the own of monastery "Polling" not far away of the town. This was the own of the ruler family Andechs/Meran. As 1521 an Pest epedenic break out in Munich, the bavarian Dughs rules the country in Weilheim. 1802 the monastery of the Franziskaner in Weilheim was closed like many monastery in the region "Pfaffenwinkel". Between 1872 and 1874 four city gates on the wall were broken down. At April 1945 short time for the end of the second world war, Weilheim became destroyed by the army. Today the town has a city population around 11.000. Its popular by its building style of south tirol and austrian houses. Its a popular tourist destination in the summer both winter time.
