Today I'm going to tell you about the sewn-in collars on the neckline. I’ll show you hot to make any neckline you want and then sew the collar in it. Today you’ll learn a lot – not only how to make one particular collar, but how to make any neckline and adjust a collar to it. Having a good basic pattern, you need to know how to adjust it to different designs. I’ll be working with the same item I used in the previous video. I’ll open the neckline for about 1,5 cm at the back and 2,5 at the front. You can make any collar you like. I’ll just show you the technique. You can make a light jacket this way, a blouse or even a warm dress. I’m not sure which collar to make, it doesn’t matter. It should just be a sewn-in collar which resembles the shape of the neckline. I’ll show you how to do it, and it won’t take you long to make such collars. Now I draw the collar itself. Make it of any form you want. I’ll make it 7 cm wide. Don’t make it too wide here, because it wouldn’t look good on the shoulders. Make a collar of any form you like. I make such collar just to show you the technique. Notice that I fold the fabric in half in order to cut out the both pieces at once. You can do it however you like.
