The PACE 2019 Annual Conference, Putting Evidence into Action to Advance Equity in California, was held on February 1, 2019 (9:00am-4:00pm) at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in Sacramento. The conference built on the Getting Down to Facts II research released that fall, which assembled the nation’s top education scholars to investigate the current status of PreK-12 education in California in the areas of student success, governance, personnel, and finance. With this rigorous and comprehensive research as a shared evidence base, participants at this conference engaged with leaders in policy, practice, and research from across the state to discuss the priorities for the future of PK-12 education policy in California. The conference featured six high-leverage areas of focus: Early Childhood Education in California Approaches to Chronic Absenteeism Promising Practices in Local Data Use Supporting Continuous Improvement at Scale Intersegmental Issues of High School to College Transitions +Promising Practices in Local Democratic Engagement in School Governance https://edpolicyinca.org/events/pace-...
